Admissions for 2018-2019

Mott Hall II prides itself on being the most diverse middle schools in District 3. We understand this process can seem overwhelming. To this end, our admissions process is very thorough, and it is our goal to guide you with as much information as possible.  Our Open House events are designed to introduce you to our vision, mission, instructional philosophy, as well as an overview of our school and curriculum. You may register for an Open House event here.

During a morning tour, 5th grade candidates and their families are welcomed to our 4th floor classrooms to experience our warm, nurturing environment and exceptional instruction. Following the tour, we hold a Q&A session with our administration. Families must attend an Open House in order to register for a tour.

Mott Hall II will perform diagnostic testing and interview to all candidates who rank us first choice on their application. Middle school applications are due in December. Our testing season begins in mid-January. Acceptance letters are sent via elementary schools sometime in April.

Applicants who are unsatisfied with their placement, may appeal the decision. Our appeals testing season takes place in May, with acceptance letters distributed to families in mid-June.
